The South Central Michigan section was chartered in late 2009. It covers Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, and surrounding communities. As a section, we host a variety of monthly events that increase members’ marketable skills, as well as broaden their professional and social network. These include professional development meeting topics, such as Who Moved My Mini-Cheesecake? and How to Find a Job during a Recession, tours of local facilities with engineering relevance, and community outreach activities. The South Central Michigan section maintains close ties with the Western Michigan University (WMU) section of SWE, with two of our members serving as their collegiate counselors. As a new and growing section, we invite interested parties to check out our website, and find out more of what we have to offer!

Southcentral MI SWE Chapter
People are most successful when they have support and a little voice saying “you can do it.” Let us be that voice to each other, our community and our loved ones.
